Maneblusser is a easily drinkable city beer, which still has enough kick to enjoy it fully. A blonde beer of 5.8% alc. vol. with a light citrus aroma and a fine aftertaste, brewed according to the traditional method of top fermentation.
The name “Maneblusser” was obvious... On the night of January 27, 1687, the moon cast its glow on the spire of the St. Rumbold's Tower, which was shrouded in mist. “Fire, the tower is on fire!” shouted a drunkard. The alarm bell was sounded and everyone rushed to help. Even before the spire was reached, the moon gently moved through the mist and since then, the people of Mechelen will forever remain “the Moon extinguishers”.
