Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek (46% vol.) refers to the beautiful nature reserve 'Het Broek' in Blaasveld. For centuries, peat (dried bog) was extracted there, which at the time mainly served as fuel for the locals and also for drying barley malt.
The local tradition of peat extraction receives a new chapter with this expression. Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek is distilled from a specially crafted brew with peated barley malt. This gives this golden-yellow whisky a soft smoky note, combined with full-bodied aromas of oak and vanilla.
